Product: HP Envy 4500 Printer
Price:  $80.80 (Free Shipping)
Cheapest Place to Buy: Amazon.com
My Rating: 9.5 out of 10

I just love to review products thatHP-Envy-4500 work as they were intended. That’s why I chose to make a review on the HP Envy 4500 Printer. I have been using this inkjet printer for over a year now (bought it in  February 2014) and it has really lived up to its expectations. Before I dive into the pros and cons of this printer let me tell you a little story first…

I’m not a newbie when it comes to online shopping, but last year I experienced something that I haven’t had before. Early 2014 I ordered this printer at Amazon. 2 days later it came to my house and I was all excited about it. As always, I had my research done on this model and I had a pretty good feeling about. However, the moment I opened my new package there was no printer to be found. I got an entire desktop computer (net worth around $700) instead! What a surprise that was. At first I was considering to keep it because, you know, I only paid $80 for a $700 computer. After some thinking I decided to call Amazon and explain the mistake. I guess I don’t want to be left with bad karma. Amazon corrected their mistake right after I called them and up until now I have been very happy with the decision I made. Let me know what you would have done in the comments.

On to the printer then!

Key features:

  • ability to make duplex prints
  • Wireless
  • Both monochrome and color printing
  • Easy to install and operate
  • Scanner and copier (can make PDF scans)

Pros:                                                                           Cons:

  • Cheap                                                            Small paper tray (max 100 pages)
  • High quality                                                           No card or USB slot
  • Easy buttons
  • Menu shows up on LCD display
  • Print from anywhere in the world
  • Print from any device you want
  • Pretty fast for an inkjet

One of the most popular printers these days. It crushes his competition in the same price range hands down. Seriously when you’re looking for a cheap printer that is reliable, super easy to set up and work with, this one is your go to model. So far I have had very little trouble with the HP Envy 4500 Printer. No printer jams, no clogged printer heads. This is the reason why I gave it such a high score. If you have any unanswered questions please feel free to ask!

Have a nice day,

Where to rent or lease a printer?

Ever had that feeling you want to buyInternet-Money a printer or any other electric device, but you don’t want to spent all the money at once? Well I have and I was so happy once I found out about online renting. When you rent or lease a printer you can make very small weekly or monthly payments, according to your desire. Probably the best part is that after a year you will be the proud owner of the product at no extra costs.

Who is eligible

Renting products is an awesome feature some companies provide us with, but their conditions aren’t always the best. Sometimes you might have to prove you have good credit, you have to make a payment in advance, there could be hidden fees,… However, the site I’m about to show you has NONE of this. I’ve tried it myself and it was a great experience. I bought an office printer as a gift to my uncle. Very simple, good service, no hidden fees, zero regrets! Basically anybody can rent a product online. If i can do it, you can do it.

Getting started

You will get the best online renting conditions at Flex Shopper. There you can buy a printer starting at only $2/week. Or 1000’s of other devices you would like. Every member has a $2500 instant spending limit. Even at the end of your payments, you still end up at a very low total cost. There are other rental sites available but none of them will offer you the same conditions. Go check out their website now and watch the intro video on how it works. It will tell you everything you need to know about their renting program in just a minute.

For everybody out there who doesn’t want Flex-Shopperto spend a big amount at once, renting is a perfect alternative. Flex Shopper is the ideal platform to fulfill your needs. I ordered a printer myself but the other products have some great deals available too. I am planning on buying a new headphone for my sister as a birthday present! If you have any topic related question feel free to leave a comment. I’ll get back to you within 24 hours.

Happy buying!

How do I fix a printer error state?

You keep getting a printer error state message but have no idea how to fix it? Read my easy to follow tips and your printer will be working again in no time. I will be covering the most common printer error problems and how to fix them. For some specific, more in depth, analyses of your error you can always consult your printer manufacturers website.

Under usage/Poor printing quality

Very common printer error. This has to do with clogged printing heads/nozzles. Printing heads are a part of your cartridges. When you aren’t printing on a regular base the ink will dry out. Dried ink can’t be used anymore and has to be replaced with new ink. Basically you have 2 options to solve this. In the first place you can buy a new cartridge and replace it with the old one. Secondly you could get a cleaning kit and clean the printing head yourself.

Latest Drivers

Printers and all other kinds of hardware need the right software to keep running. When your computer isn’t set to automatically check for the latest drivers you will have to go the manufacturer’s website and download it. If you aren’t sure about what driver to install, look on the back of your printer for a sticker. There you will find the correct product code.

color-printerRunning out of ink (or not?)

Your printer can be running out of ink without telling you specifically. Or even worse, your printer can tell you it’s running out of ink even though it’s not. Very little you can do to fix this since it greatly depends on your printer model.  You could however remove the cartridge and look if its empty. If it’s not, replace it and try printing again. If that doesn’t work you will have to buy a new cartridge. Don’t just instantly buy the same cartridge you had before! Changing to a better, more compatible cartridge could improve your print quality.

Paper getting stuck

Check your printer for hoods that can be opened or removed. Paper can get shredded into small pieces during the printing process and those pieces can obstruct the printer gear. Make sure to remove all pieces at once. Get a flashlight to help search every part of your printer. Remove the remaining paper out of the tray and replace it with new paper. Old paper can get moist and won’t print.

Blank sheets

Although this won’t show you an explicit printer error, it can be annoying to deal with. Luckily it’s easy to solve. You just need to adjust some printerblank-sheet settings. Go to your printer properties, accessed from the devices and printers screen in the control panel. Select the advanced tab in the printer properties screen and select separator page. Turn it off or leave it blank to prevent your printer from printing a blank sheet after every print job.

Old cables

Old cables can cause your printer to show you an error state message. Control every cable if its plugged in well and if this could be the cause of the error. You can also try the cables with other printers and computers and see if it works. Doing this you can also find out if the error is coming from your printer or computer, so you can locate the problem better.

If you have any feedback or experiences with printer errors, I would love to hear them. Simply drop a comment below and I will get back to you.
